2023RS34 - Finance Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

As a Finance Controller, you will:

• Managing quality control over financial transactions and reporting
• Maintaining internal standards within local statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and group consolidation packages
• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure proper funding of operations.
• Coordinate the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ​About you

• The ideal Financial Controller will have:
• A Degree and/or Certification in Accounting / Finance is required.
• 3+ years of experience in a financial accounting or in the role of finance controller.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding on Tax regulation in GCC, including Withholding Tax and Income Tax.
• Working knowledge of ERP class systems.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Proven track record of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Well organized, with a proactive approach, committed to getting things done
• Ability to smoothly cooperate with business leaders and cross-functional colleagues efficiently
