2025RS18 - Finance Controller

Our client, a well-established tax agency and accounting firm based in Dubai, is looking for its new French-speaking finance business partner. The role will directly report to the COO.

Role Overview
You lead a client portfolio and supervise a team delivering accounting services. You ensure timely, accurate reporting, advise clients strategically, and contribute to CTC's growth through excellent service and business development.

Key Responsibilities

1.            Client Relationship Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for clients; ensure high-quality services aligned with the fees charged.
  • Deliver accurate reports, explain financial data, and identify areas for improvement for your clients.
  • Support client onboarding, periodic reviews, and contract management.
  • Attend networking events and contribute to business development.
  • Ensure engagement scope, deadlines, and profitability are met.

2.            Financial Reporting & Advisory

  • Deliver monthly reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Support clients in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Analyse financial performance and advise on strategic decisions for your clients.
  • Review and verify the accounting work completed by the team, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and connect with other teams when needed.

3.            Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop your team.
  • Hire new team members, manage onboarding.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews.
  • Monitor workloads, quality of output, track hours and manage your team timesheets.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and assess training needs.

Requirements

1.            Education & Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (CMA/CPA is a plus).
  • 5+ years' financial experience, including 2+ year in the Middle East.

2.            Technical Skills

  • Strong accounting and financial analysis background.
  • Familiar with multiple accounting systems and UAE regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Effective communicator and team leader.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable.Fluent in English; fluent in French mandatory.
