Overview

Purpose: This two-day regional IP Attaché industry consultation series is intended to enhance collaboration and information sharing between intellectual property (IP) intensive industries doing business in the Middle East and the regional IP Attachés on shared IP priorities, challenges, and advocacy efforts.

Outcome: For each industry sector to identify a set of shared IP priorities and goals that can be jointly advocated by industry and the regional IP Attachés with Middle East governments. These IP priorities and goals will be documented in industry specific non-papers and shared with participants and IP Attachés.

Format: International industry representatives from specific sectors will each have seventy-five minutes to brief industry counterparts and regional IP Attachés about industry specific IP priorities and challenges. Industry representatives and IP Attachés will also use this time to identify potential next steps, advocacy channels and coordination opportunities.

Logistics: Due to COVID protocols, the U.S. Pavilion can hold up to approximately 50 people per session. Participation is first come, first served and session specific – please only RSVP for a specific session or sessions that impact your sect. Interpretation in Arabic and Japanese will be provided.
