Karim holds a Bachelor of Law from the Sorbonne, as well as an LLM from the American University in Cairo. Before joining ADG, he worked at a number of well-reputed law firms (including Baker & McKenzie) across Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar.
With over twelve years of legal experience, Karim works primarily in our corporate team. Karim has particular experience of high value mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and of the hospitality industry.
For clients interested in setting up business on the UAE, Karim assists with the establishment of onshore and free zone companies, and provides ongoing support and assistance to protect and enhance our clients’ businesses. He expertly negotiates, drafts and reviews all types of commercial agreements (including transactional, joint venture, license, shareholders, sale and purchase, and custodial agreements) and provides clear and concise advice on relevant UAE laws.
Karim is respected for his approachable and responsive attitude. Whether a multi-national hotel chain, or a local Dubai business, Karim ensures that his clients are regularly updated and receive advice specifically tailored to their needs.
Karim has published a number of articles and is a regular speaker at seminars in Dubai. He is an Arabic native-speaker, who is also fluent in English and French.
