Ronnie CHALMERSExecutive Vice President Africa Middle East & India - AIR LIQUIDE

In September 2018, Ronnie Chalmers arrived in the UAE to lead Air Liquide’s activities in Africa, the Middle East and India. As Vice President of the Dubai Corporate Hub, Ronnie oversees operations for 30 countries in the region.

Ronnie has been with the Air Liquide Group since 2006 when he joined the Japan Air Gases as VP and CFO. He has since then held various executive positions in Europe, from Director of the Large Industries European Platform, to Managing Director of Air Liquide Benelux Industries and more recently Large Industries Vice President of the European Hub.

Ronnie has been in the Gases business since joining a global industrial gas company in 1989 on a management development programme. Appointed in 1994 as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Ronnie has held a variety of financial and commercial roles across the Gases businesses in the US, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. 

Ronnie Chalmers graduated from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh (UK) with a degree in Civil Engineering.
