Tamer SALAMAManaging Director GCC - Alstom

Tamer Salama has been Managing Director – GCC since January 2020. In this function, he is a member of the Middle East Management Team. Prior to joining Alstom, Tamer had a long and successful career in a variety of roles across different industries. From 2015 to 2019, he was Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations at Middle East Specialized Cables based in Riyadh, KSA.

Before that, from 2009 to 2015, he was Regional Commercial Director for Substation Automation at Alstom Gird based in Dubai, UAE. Between 2004 and 2009, Tamer spent 5 years as a Senior Commercial Manager - Int’l Business at Alcatel Lucent HQ based in Paris, France. From 1994 to 2004, Tamer has held several roles in Project Management, Services support and selling, Channel Management as well as other operational and Sales & Marketing roles covering the Middle East geography, at Alcatel Lucent Regional office, based in Cairo, Egypt Tamer holds a bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Telecommunications from Cairo University.
