Arjoun Raj is currently working as an economic attaché at the French Embassy in Baghdad. He studied mainly political science, with a focus on economics and law and holds a Masters degree from the French university SciencesPo. Before joining the French Embassy in Baghdad, Arjoun worked at the Ministry of Finance and covered various topics, such as anti-money laundering, multilateral development aid, climate finance and food security. In Baghdad, Arjoun liaises with French companies pursuing projects in Iraq, interacts with government officials and private sector actors in order to better understand the economy of the country and covers economic topics for the Embassy. Besides work, Arjoun enjoys contemporary and classic literature, learning and dropping languages and, since very recently, cats.
