2020-21RS25 - Senior Accountant
Our client, a consulting company is looking for its new Senior Accountant, this full time position is based in Dubai.
Role Overview:
Part of the Finance Advisory division, you will be joining the Accounting & Tax Managed Services section, providing bookkeeping services to clients. The role is highly operational and requires a hands- on and autonomous individual, able to handle full accounting cycles and ultimately produce reporting packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, and annexes) for clients, under the supervision of the Accounting & Administration Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the operation of all accounting systems and records of the “client-company” and internal company, ensuring its completeness, data integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date and error free accounts.
•Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external (clients, suppliers) and internal customers (employees) to ensure the required level of service and support.
•Ensure compliance with local regulatory, company policies and procedures, and reporting deadlines.
•Apart from the reporting packages, be able to prepare the following reports on regular basis:
1. Receivables Ageing report
2. Payables / Inter company reports
3. Monthly account reconciliations
•Ad hoc tasks – as assigned by the management
Requirements:
- 7+ years of solid hands-on accounting/bookkeeping experience across industries
- IFRS literate
- Strong practical knowledge of UAE VAT framework from registration to return filings
- Experience in various ERP/Accounting systems including Zoho, Sun/Infor-SAP
- Expert level in Excel
- Ability to work on deadlines with minimal supervision
- Customer-centric attitude / Excellent presentation skills
- Fluent English / Other additional language is a plus
