2023RS45 - Supply Chain Manager
Our client operates in an engineer-to-order/make-to-order environment, crafting products tailored to the unique specifications of our client's customers. The company organizational structure is project-oriented, with dedicated project teams overseen by Project Managers who ensure the successful delivery of our client's customer projects.
The role of the Supply Chain Manager, who will report to the VP Supply Chain will involve providing support to the Project Managers and taking on the responsibility of managing the End-To-End Supply Chain for our client's customer projects, from sourcing materials to shipping goods, all with the goal of optimizing costs, lead times, and inventory levels. This role necessitates a high level of organization, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the end-to-end supply chain constraints related to procurement, planning, and logistics. Collaboration is key, and you will closely coordinate with various internal departments, including Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance, as well as external partners such as suppliers, contract manufacturers, and forwarders.

Main Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management for designated projects:
. Build the Supply Chain delivery schedule for assigned programs including materials supply, production and transport time
. Build the cashflow for assigned programs
. Manage the procurement of raw materials with vendors and plan production with the sites to ensure on time delivery. Create and send the purchase orders to vendors.
. Track weekly actual supply, production and shipments vs plan. Challenge materials costs, lead times & timely execution of requests.
. Validate shipment documents to ensure smooth customs clearance and adherence with international trade compliance requirements.
. Coordinates with logistics and shipping agents on shipment booking and keep track of the shipment status
Central Planning:
. Consolidate 12-month demand & capacity forecasts with sales and product teams
. Understand factory and contract manufacturers capabilities and constraints to build an accurate weekly production plan.
. Identify bottlenecks with sites, look for solutions, and arbitrate priorities to ensure customer satisfaction
. Consolidate supply requirements forecasts to secure critical materials (semiconductors, …)
. Analyze inventory & SLOB and drive monthly reviews with operations
Support presales activities by providing delivery schedule and support vendor negotiations for new business opportunities
Supply Chain expertise & continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for improvement in the Supply Chain and with Dynamics 365 ERP. Benchmark processes, metrics and tools against best practices and lead transformation projects to improve processes and tools.
Additional tasks may be assigned.
This role is expected to grow significantly over time with the growth of the business.
Educational Requirements:
- Master’s degree
- Holder of APICS CSCP preferred.
Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills:
- Minimum 5 years in supply chain management and planning roles
- S&OP planning experience
- Exposure to Dynamics 365 is a plus.
