BEL Group Joined the Dairy Methane Action Alliance at COP28
Environmental Defense Fund has convened a historic group of global food companies during the COP28:
The six members of the Dairy Methane Action Alliance - Danone , Bel Group, General Mills Lactalis USA, Kraft Heinz and Nestle - will begin reporting their methane emissions by mid-2024 and will write methane action plans by the end of that year.
Recognizing the urgency of the climate crisis and the significant role of the food sector in reducing global emissions of methane, these companies are the first to commit to a transparent accounting and public disclosure of methane emissions within their dairy supply chains.
