Sustainability Committee | State of the Green Finance in the UAE

Organised by the French Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates and the French Business Group Abu Dhabi, with the kind support of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), this conference will be organised around two discussion panels, with the already confirmed presence of Philippe Richard, Executive Director - International Affairs Financial Services Regulatory Authority. 

According to the World Future Energy Summit, "The Middle East is no stranger to innovation and thinking big and investing in the future. 2019 is proving to be a pivotal year for rethinking the possibilities around how we fund and finance sustainable projects and business models of all shapes and sizes. The year kicked off in the right way: during the most recent World Future Energy Summit at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week we saw the UAE Government make a significant and tangible commitment to sustainable finance, with a pledge by Abu Dhabi Global Markets and 25 signatories among major banks and financial institutions to drive sustainable finance and investment forward through the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Declaration. This declaration is nothing short of a foundation block for the sustainable, long-term economic growth of the entire region, with global ramifications due to the highly interconnected way that money now flows around the world."
