Samir OUMERUAE Country Chair - TotalEnergies

Samir Oumer is TotalEnergies Country Chair since August 2023.

During his career spanning more than two decades with the company, Samir has held several leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Country Chair of TotalEnergies in Algeria.

Between 2018 and 2021, Samir worked in the company’s downstream activities as Vice President Strategy, Development and Procurement, Asia Pacific and Middle East, based in Singapore.

Prior to that, Samir held various operational and managerial positions in Drilling, Oilfield Development, New Business and Mergers & Acquisitions, with international assignments in Venezuela, Angola, the United Kingdom and Indonesia.

Samir Oumer is an engineer graduated from Ecole Centrale. He is also a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs (ENSPM – IFP School) where he obtained a master’s degree in oil fields developments and exploitation.
