Houssam, is the current CEO DSV Solutions (Abu Dhabi) PJSC, is an entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in 
strategic leadership in supply chain and agriculture industry. An HBS Alumni, Houssam has passion for startups that impacts our wellbeing and the future of our kids. A global network of Business influencers in more than 20 Countries.

Houssam left his home country Lebanon in 1989 at the age of 18 to pursue his studies in Belgium. In 1997, 
Houssam moved to the UAE to build & lead a logistics centre for a Middle Eastern based courier company. After a period of two years, Houssam decided to join Schneider Electric – Middle East to build a logistics platform improving the customer experience, where he progressed very quickly in his career with Schneider 
Electric, heading the logistics in the Middle East Region.

Houssam joined Agility in 2005, a fast-growing logistics provider focused on emerging markets, continuing his career path within the logistics industry. He engineered & led the establishing of a joint venture in Abu Dhabi between HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed private office, Mubadala Investment Company as well as Agility, which transformed into the largest logistics solution provider in Abu Dhabi within a period of four years. 

Houssam was successfully leading the organization for a period of eight years, where he was holding various CEO roles in UAE & Oman as well as SPV in Shanghai with focus on logistics for Oil & Gas for China. 

In 2012, Houssam joined Al Dahra, a company mandated to manage the food security in the UAE, owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed. As the Group Chief Executive Officer, Houssam led the team that has successfully built and developed the company into the biggest agriculture company in the MENA region that transformed Al Dahra from an Abu Dhabi based company to a multinational company with operations in 5 continents in 16 different countries that allow him to create a huge network of business professional across the globe mainly UAE, KSA, Egypt, Morocco & Europe. 

2020, Houssam re-joined Agility as the CEO in Abu Dhabi (Currently acquiered by DSV). He led the company to exceptional success despite a global pandemic. 
Perfectly trilingual in English, French and Arabic, living with his family in Portugal & working  in Abu Dhabi, Houssam is an expert in ‘across the borders’ business opportunities as well as in managing culturally diverse teams in a global scale economy. 

Houssam owns “Al Mayass”, a 25-year-old F&B concept of Lebanese Armenian cuisine, which is already established in six countries, where Houssam aims to bring this concept to global reach. Furthermore, Houssam is a majority shareholder in real estate start-ups in Portugal, focused on the wellbeing in three different projects: “Zaitun” – Farm & Resort in Douro Valley, “Forest Home” in Azores islands & “Patio” in Algarve, creating a destination for nature lovers.
