Sophie Marichal is an Executive Director at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), based in Dubai, where she is responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with major corporate clients across the Transport, Logistics, Ports and Warehousing sectors within the Wholesale Banking division.

With over 15 years of experience in corporate and investment banking, Sophie has built an international career spanning Europe and the Middle East, developing strong expertise in corporate coverage, structured financing, strategic relationship management and complex cross-border transactions.

She began her career at BNP Paribas before joining First Abu Dhabi Bank, where she has held several senior coverage positions in both Paris and Dubai. Throughout her career, she has managed relationships with leading international corporations across a wide range of industries, including energy, infrastructure, transportation and industrials.

In January 2026, Sophie relocated from Paris to Dubai to take on her current leadership role, overseeing a portfolio of some of the region’s most prominent transport and logistics groups, including DP World, AD Ports Group and Etihad Rail.

Her responsibilities include originating and executing financing opportunities, supporting clients’ international expansion strategies, coordinating complex transactions and developing long-term banking partnerships. She also works closely with internal product and risk teams to deliver tailored financial solutions while driving sustainable business growth.

Drawing on her international experience and extensive exposure to major corporate clients, Sophie brings a strong understanding of the evolving challenges facing multinational companies and the increasingly strategic role banks play in supporting their development.
