Thomas SpitzSenior Managing Director – Head of Global Markets - First Abu Dhabi Bank

Thomas Spitz is a markets veteran with around 25 years of experience in the banking industry. He joined FAB in May 2022 to lead the Group’s Global Markets franchise. Prior to joining FAB, Thomas spent over 20 years with Crédit Agricole CIB in London holding
various positions in the Global Markets business including Global Head of Trading, and Global Head of Sales.

Thomas has a wealth of experience and deep understanding of the full Global Markets product suite including: FX, Rates, Structured Products, Credit, Repo, as well as Derivatives. He also has a strong interest and focus on technology and innovations. Having run a Global sales team at CACIB, Thomas is very familiar with the client side of the business, including financial institutions, large corporates, and SMEs from across the world. He prides himself on finding bespoke solutions to diering client requirements. Thomas began his career as a Credit Derivatives Trader at Société Générale in Paris and then spent early parts of his career working in the US. He was based in the UK and France for the majority of his working life and has managed teams in 20 countries from Asia to Americas.

Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree from ENSAE Paris.
