She previously served as a Security Threat Analyst (MENA region) within the Security Directorate at TotalEnergies.
Éliane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Philosophy of Religion from the University of Cambridge, as well as two Master’s degrees: one in Social Anthropology of Religion from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and another in International Development – Migration Studies from the University of Oxford.
She specializes in the study of Islamic theology and jihadist and radical Islamist movements.
Éliane is also an author. In 2024, she published L’Algérie Islamique : un déni français with Éditions du Cerf, an essay exploring the religious foundations of the Algerian nation (1830–1998).
