Our client, A rapidly expanding consortium of businesses based in Dubai, specializing in logistics, software development, and trade finance.
This group has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and talented Business Intelligence professional to join their fast-paced and collaborative Technology team. The BI Manager is a newly created role which plays an integral part in supporting the senior management team. You will be a key business partner that drives our journey toward the successful Go To Market of their new solution. You will be based in Dubai and will report directly to the CEO.
Main Responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence Manager partners with the different organization functions such as Operations and Sales to understand the data needs and manages the BI roadmap to meet those needs. You will own the BI tools that enable reporting and analytics that drive the organization’s vision and growth. The role will also be to manage ad hoc data projects for key stakeholders. This position will be a management role that reports to the CEO.
You will join a like-minded, engaged team and be empowered to partner with key stakeholders across the organization. You’ll guide decision-making and share your knowledge, expertise, and passion to deliver accurate, actionable reporting and predictive insights. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Work closely with the Go-to-Market team and Business Analysts to identify BI needs and turn data into insights that support Go-to-Market decisions.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of key reports and dashboards, working with Business Units partners. This includes collecting and validating requirements, working with key business contacts, managing user acceptance testing, defining priorities, and monitoring the timeline and competing priorities.
• Provide a high level of operational support and troubleshooting assistance on BI Reporting application-related issues, working with business daily.
• Proactively identify and analyze requests for proper prioritization and conduct analysis that drives meaningful change using reporting and BI visualizations/dashboards.
• Interface with the IT team to troubleshoot complex data issues or upgrade existing tools & processes.
• Promote culture of excellence, data driven discussions, knowledge sharing and teamwork.
• Help build faster, more seamless BI solutions.
• Ensure training of BI dashboards is thoughtful and impactful.
• Design and develop user-friendly reports, dashboards, templates, visualizations and scorecards that drive valuable insights for the business.
• Help create discipline and focus on business performance reporting.
• Seek continuous improvements and leverage new tools, applications, methodologies, and ways of working.
• Analyze and deliver insights from data that enable impactful discussions.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and projects as required by senior management.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, data management or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years supporting business intelligence and reporting.
- 5+ years’ work experience in creating and managing reporting initiatives.
- Solid understanding of reporting tools and visualization techniques. Expertise with visualization tools like Qlik and Power BI
- Adept at leveraging data to connect the dots and create impactful insights using reports visualizations and analytical skills.
- Competence in Data Modeling
- Salesforce experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong project and process management background
- Highly analytical and curious in solving business challenges.
